Who we are

SÁLTI MADE is a bikini atelier by SÁLTI Swimwear. We host workshop sessions. The bikini is handmade to the guest before the day, and she finishes it at the table.

What we collect when you book

We collect only what the booking, the workshop, and the payment need.

Your WhatsApp number is optional. If you leave it blank, we contact you by email. Your birthday is optional. If you give one, we store the day and the month, not the year.

• Your name, so we know who the booking belongs to.
• Your email, so we can send the confirmation, the reminders, and the venue details.
• A WhatsApp number, only if you type one, so we can reach you quickly.
• A birthday as a day and a month, only if you type one.
• Each guest's name, the experience she chose, the colour, the top size, the bottom size, the coverage, and whether she wants padding. We need these to make the bikini.
• The amount and the payment status, so we know whether the seat is paid.
• Whether you ticked the marketing box, and the sentence that was on that box.

If you ask to hear when a date opens, we keep your email and which session you asked about.

If you join the city list, we keep your email and your city.

A private enquiry keeps your name, WhatsApp number, email, occasion, group size, any dream date, city, venue preference, and message.

A request to seat a group together keeps the names, the group size, an email (required), and a WhatsApp number (optional).

When you submit one of these forms, or start a booking, we also keep a short rate-limit note. The note is the form name plus a scrambled network address from the request. A scrambled network address is kept for about two hours. The next form check deletes notes older than two hours, and the daily run does the same while its time and send budget still has room. These notes are not shown on the website.

Payment

You pay by card or instant EFT through PayFast. PayFast handles the card details. We never see your card number, and we do not store it. We keep the amount, whether the payment cleared, and the payment reference PayFast sends us.

Marketing and birthdays

The marketing box on the booking form starts unticked. We add you to the marketing list only if you tick it yourself. We do not tick it for you.

Marketing mail is for new dates and, if you gave a birthday, a birthday email with a personal code. How that code works is in the Terms and Conditions.

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can use that link, or ask us, to stop marketing. Stopping marketing does not cancel a booking.

Who else handles this information

Supabase stores the database in Ireland (West EU). The public website cannot read those tables. A signed-in administrator can see the booking and marketing records in the admin area.

Vercel hosts this website.

Brevo sends the emails and holds the contact lists for bookings, reminders, and, only if you opted in, marketing. This project does not record a country for where Brevo processes that information.

PayFast processes the payment.

The typefaces are part of this site. Browsing the site does not load Google Fonts from Google. Some reminder emails include a Google Maps link for the venue. The website itself does not load Google Maps. We do not use analytics or advertising tools.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes above, and for as long as we need it to meet legal and accounting duties. This page does not state a fixed number of years.

A scrambled network address in a rate-limit note is kept for about two hours.

Delivery logs are kept for 90 days.

Payment logs are kept for accounting.

If you ask us to erase marketing details, we delete the marketing record and we void unused birthday codes for that email. We keep the booking, because we need it for accounting.

How we look after it

The booking records are used to run the workshop and to make the bikinis. They are not published on the public site. Access is limited to the service that runs the site and to a signed-in administrator.

Photos and filming

We photograph and film every workshop for SÁLTI marketing and socials. A guest ticks a box at booking if they are happy to appear. Anyone who has not, or who tells the host on the day, is kept out of shot.

Under-18s are booked by a parent or guardian.

We do not state how long we keep those photos and films.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can object to marketing at any time.

A complaint

You may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa).

Cookies

A normal visit does not set a cookie from us, and we do not store anything in local storage or session storage on your browser. We do not use a cookie banner. Signing in to the admin area sets a session cookie, and that cookie is only for an administrator.
